Debriefing In Simulation For Medical Educators

Objectives:
This course is for simulation educators who want to enhance their debriefing skills in simulation to:
1. demonstrate strategies to establish a supportive learning environment
2. understand the rationale for debriefing in simulation-based learning
3. gain confidence in effective debriefing including structure and strategies of inquiry that promote reflection
Introduction to Point of Care Ultrasound in Paediatric Emergency Medicine (In-person only)

Open to non-consultant hospital doctors and advanced nurse practitioners (PEM nurses with IV cannulation experience)
Learning objectives:
This workshop is an introductory course to POCUS in PEM. By the end of the workshop, the learner will be more familiar with POCUS concepts, and its use in the PED.
Programme:
Welcome and introductory lecture 1-2pm
Point of Care Ultrasound Stations (Hands-On) 2-4pm
1. U/S guided peripheral IV cannulation
2. Foreign bodies/femoral nerve block
3. Lung ultrasound
4. Hip and bladder ultrasound
